THE IMPERIAL COURT OF ALL ALASKA
SPECIAL STATEMENT FROM THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
FEBRUARY 3RD, 2018
Joint statement from the Board of Directors of the ICOAA and the College of Emperors and Empresses.
The news of Paige Langit's alleged embezzlement from 4A’s has outraged and shocked all of us in the ICOAA and the commmunity as a whole.
We have known Paige as an ally to the LGBT community for years and take the news as a stunning betrayal of everything many of us have worked towards for many years.
We have been in contact with 4A’s and they are financially sound though understandably shocked and hurt by this. They ask that we stay positive during this community crisis and spread the word about all the great things they do for Alaskans living with HIV/AIDS.
We in the ICOAA ask that we stay strong and positive during all of this and stay supportive of each other. Please do not judge an organization or community on the actions of one person. We must all, Gay, Lesbians, Straight, Bi, Transgender stick together in times of crisis.
This being said, all rights, titles, and privileges Paige enjoyed as a monarch in the ICOAA are suspended pending conviction in a court of law. At that time the College and Board will take permanent action against her.
Meanwhile, we ask once again, stay positive, stay united, stay the same great community we have always been.
In peace, love, and unity,
Joani LaChoy, President, Board of Directors of the ICOAA
Mikey LaChoy, Dean, College of Emperors and Empresses
